Telugu Diabetic Diet Chart — Dr. Shalini Patlolla
సూచన / Note: This diet chart is designed specifically for Telugu-speaking patients in Hyderabad following traditional South Indian eating habits. It replaces high-glycaemic foods with low-GI alternatives without eliminating your regular cuisine.
నీళ్ళు తాగే సమయం / Water Intake Schedule
- Wake up: 2 glasses warm water
- Before each meal: 1 glass water (30 mins before)
- Between meals: sip water regularly
- Daily total: minimum 2.5 to 3 liters
- Avoid: cold water with meals — slows digestion
Important Notes from Dr. Shalini:
- Never skip breakfast — skipping meals causes blood sugar swings
- Eat every 3-4 hours — small frequent meals stabilize sugar
- Finish dinner by 8:30 PM minimum
- Walk for 15-20 minutes after lunch and dinner
- Check blood sugar before and 2 hours after meals initially
